South Korea's President Lee Pledges Real Estate Stability Measures on July 21

According to Yonhap Infomax, President Lee Jae-myung pledged on July 21 to stabilize South Korea's real estate market as a key step to address wealth inequality. During a cabinet meeting, he announced three policy measures: expanding housing supply, supporting actual homebuyers, and reforming the tax system. Lee described the real estate market as a major driver of asset inequality, household debt, and youth hardship, and emphasized that normalizing the sector is essential for productive economic development.

The government plans to hold a national real estate forum on July 23 to solicit public input on these initiatives.
