South Korea's Securities Industry Raises Minimum Deposit for Single-Stock Leveraged ETFs

According to the Financial Investment Association of Korea, the securities industry has agreed to strengthen investor protections for single-stock leveraged ETFs by raising the minimum deposit requirement from the current 10 million won and enhancing pre-investment education. The association held an emergency meeting with major securities firms and outlined plans to expand customized risk warnings to investors and disperse rebalancing trades concentrated at market close to reduce market volatility.
