South Korea's Short-Term Debt Issuance Hits 990 Trillion Won in H1 2026, Up 90.3% YoY

According to the Korea Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, short-term debt (STB) issuance in South Korea reached 990 trillion won during the first half of 2026, surging 90.3% year-over-year. Securities companies led the market, accounting for over 60% of total issuance volumes.
