Southeast Asia Tourist Arrivals Plunge; Siem Reap Down 37.5% in First Four Months

According to Jin10, international and domestic tourist arrivals in Southeast Asia's major destinations declined significantly in recent months. Thailand's Tourism Ministry data showed that inbound tourist arrivals fell 7% year-over-year in April, with European tourists down 16% and Middle Eastern tourists down 57%. In Cambodia's Siem Reap province, tourist numbers dropped 37.5% year-over-year over the first four months of the year, according to the provincial tourism department.
