Today, the S&P 500 index closed down 0.2%, with materials falling 2.5% and energy rising 1.2%, while technology gained 1.4%. The Nasdaq-100 closed up 0.3%, with notable movers including CoreWeave up 7.7%, Nebius Group up 11.6%, Western Digital and Seagate up 3.5%, and Nvidia up 3.8%, offsetting declines in Axon down 6.3% and Palo Alto Networks down 4.8%. The semiconductor index rose 2.4% and memory chip index gained 3.1%.
