SpaceX Rebrands xAI to SpaceXAI, Files Orbital Computing Trademark Ahead of $1.75T IPO

According to trademark filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is being folded into SpaceX under a new brand, SpaceXAI. The rebrand encompasses satellite-based data centers, orbital computing, cloud computing, and AI workload management through space-based platforms. Musk confirmed xAI would dissolve as a separate company, with AI products operating under SpaceXAI with its own logo.

The move coincides with SpaceX’s major compute agreement with Anthropic, where the AI company will lease capacity from SpaceX’s Colossus 1 supercomputer in Memphis, Tennessee, gaining access to over 300 megawatts of power and more than 220,000 Nvidia GPUs. Analysts estimate the Anthropic deal could generate $3 billion to $6 billion in annual revenue for SpaceX. The rebrand arrives as SpaceX prepares for a reported IPO valued as high as $1.75 trillion.
