SpaceX Sets June 12 IPO with $75 Billion Funding at $1.75 Trillion Valuation

According to Yahoo Finance, SpaceX will launch its initial public offering on June 12 at a $1.75 trillion valuation and raise $75 billion in funding, Elon Musk outlined during a JPMorgan Chase investor briefing on Thursday evening in Manhattan. Musk described the capital raise as necessary to fund a new growth phase, including plans for lunar hotels, Mars settlements, and space-based AI data centers. He stated that Earth's AI computing capacity can realistically expand by only about 1 terawatt annually, but space-based infrastructure could enable 1,000 terawatts or more. SpaceX also plans to deploy 100,000 additional satellites and expand Starlink's coverage using IPO proceeds.
