StablR Suspends USDR, EURR After Hackers Mint 8.35M Tokens Using Wallet Exploit

According to CoinDesk, StablR suspended minting, redemption, and trading of its stablecoins USDR and EURR on May 26 after attackers exploited a low-threshold 1-of-3 multisig wallet to gain admin access. The hackers minted approximately 8.35 million USDR and 4.5 million EURR, worth about $13.5 million at peg, with roughly $2.8 million actually liquidated. The unauthorized issuance left both stablecoins under-collateralized; USDR depegged to $0.994 before recovering slightly, while EURR fell to $0.548. StablR said it has launched an investigation and will report the incident to Maltese regulators.
