Startale Group Completes $63 Million Series A Funding Round with Sony Innovation Fund and SBI Group Participation

Gate News Report, March 26 — According to an official announcement, Soneium Blockchain joint developer Startale Group has announced the completion of a $63 million Series A funding round. The funding was completed in two phases: in January 2026, Sony Innovation Fund led a $13 million investment; followed by SBI Group's additional investment of $50 million, marking the close of this funding round. The funds will be used for three core areas: first, to advance Strium, an institutional-grade blockchain for tokenized securities and real-world asset (RWA) trading, building a clearing and trading framework for on-chain capital markets in Asia; second, to expand JPYSC and USDSC stablecoins, enhancing interoperability between fiat and cryptocurrencies, and supporting on-chain dividends and revenue sharing; third, to develop the Startale App super app, providing consumers with on-chain services such as asset management, mini-programs, payments, and social features based on the Soneium network.
