Sterling to Strengthen on High Yield Before UK Budget Announcement, JPMorgan Says

According to JPMorgan Chase's global co-head of FX Meera Chandan, sterling will be supported by its relatively high yield before Britain announces its autumn budget, typically in November. Prior to the budget announcement, sterling trading will depend on more tangible factors like economic growth and how the Bank of England responds. As the G10 currency with the highest yield, sterling has maintained significant resilience, with economic growth delivering upside surprises and outperforming both the central bank's forecasts and market consensus, Chandan said.
