According to an official statement posted on X on May 10 by Strategy CEO Phong Le, the company’s software business recorded its strongest quarterly performance in nearly ten years in Q1 2026, with revenue growth of 12%, cloud revenue growth of 59%, and controllable profit growth of 27%. Le also disclosed in the statement the bidirectional synergy between the company’s bitcoin treasury business and its enterprise software business.
According to Phong Le’s statement on X, the main financial metrics for Strategy’s software business in Q1 2026 are as follows:
Quarterly revenue growth: 12% (strongest quarterly performance in nearly ten years)
Cloud revenue growth: 59%
Controllable profit growth: 27% (the company said it is used to cover bitcoin operating expenses)
Le also disclosed that the company currently has 1,500 employees, serves more than 3,000 customers and over 500k active users, covering nearly half of Fortune 500 companies. Customers include multiple leading global banks, healthcare companies, retailers, and government agencies. Strategy was founded in 1989, listed on the NASDAQ in 1998, operates across 25 countries, is audited by KPMG, holds SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and FedRAMP certifications, and complies with PCI DSS, HIPAA, DPF and GDPR standards.
Based on the explanations in Phong Le’s statement on X, the two businesses have the following bidirectional synergies:
From software to bitcoin, Le said Strategy has world-class software engineers, enterprise sales, cloud and security experts, and compliance professionals. These institutional-level capabilities “directly benefit” the operations of bitcoin treasury companies; he noted that in the digital asset ecosystem, “no company has such deep institutional experience.”
From bitcoin to software, Le said the bitcoin mission motivates employees, attracts talent, and enables customers to “move from initial skepticism to curiosity, and ultimately become supporters,” thereby accelerating innovation in the software business. Strategy’s main software collaboration partners include Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Snowflake and HCL.
According to Phong Le’s statement on X, Strategy has recently built an AI data infrastructure platform called Mosaic, integrating the LLM platform, ultra-large-scale data centers and data warehouses into an open platform, providing enterprises with an AI-driven semantic layer for their data, with end users set to be AI agents.
In the statement, Le said Strategy is simultaneously using multiple AI models to restructure internal processes and systems. The company plans to automate multiple core workflows within the coming year and replace most internal enterprise software with more autonomous, self-healing systems.
