Strategy Extends Bitcoin Buying Pause for Fifth Week as Cash Reserves Rise $525M

MSTR-1.05%
STRC0.66%

Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, extended its pause in Bitcoin purchases for a fifth consecutive week during the latest reporting period, instead strengthening its cash position by adding approximately $525 million to reach total cash holdings of about $3.75 billion. The company's Bitcoin holdings remained unchanged at 843,775 BTC, marking the longest period without a purchase in roughly two years; its most recent Bitcoin acquisition occurred on June 22.

The cash increase followed the sale of approximately 5.4 million MSTR shares through an at-the-market equity program between July 20 and July 26. Rather than using the proceeds for additional Bitcoin acquisitions, Strategy retained the funds to enhance liquidity and repurchased $25 million of its STRC preferred stock, the first buyback under a $1 billion authorization approved in late June.
