According to Sui's announcement on X, the network has launched a public beta version of its private transfer feature on Devnet. The feature keeps transfer amounts and account balances private while providing controlled visibility for compliance and auditability. Senders' and receivers' addresses remain visible, but transaction amounts are hidden from the public. Issuers, exchanges, and regulators can access transaction information when needed through defined policies, while maintaining complete audit records. Sui stated this eliminates structural barriers to public blockchain adoption by institutions, fintech companies, and payment platforms.
