According to Pavel Durov's statement on May 4, Telegram founder announced that Telegram will replace the TON Foundation as the primary driver behind TON and become its largest validator. Durov noted that TON's transaction fees have decreased by 6 times, bringing costs nearly to zero. The transition is expected to take 2 to 3 weeks and represents the third step in a seven-step plan to revitalize TON, with new developments including an updated ton.org platform, new developer tools, and performance upgrades.
