According to TheEnergyMag, TeraWulf (NASDAQ: WULF) announced today it has acquired Muskie Data Campus in eastern Kentucky, expected to support over 1 GW of data center capacity. Phase One, comprising 500 MW, is targeted for delivery in H2 2028, with Phase Two, also 500 MW, planned for H2 2030. The 285-acre site, purchased from Industrial Equity Partners, is located within a 1,000-acre industrial park.
Kentucky Power Company (AEP subsidiary) has begun construction of a 345 kV substation connecting to the 765 kV transmission network, with transmission infrastructure and energy service agreements already signed. TeraWulf stated zoning approval is complete and permitting is underway. Upon completion, the company's Kentucky footprint will expand to over 2.8 GW of total platform capacity.
