Tesla Signs 25GWh Battery Storage Deal With European Power Developer at Munich Show

According to Tesla's official announcement at the Smarter E Europe energy show in Munich, which concluded this week, Tesla signed a multi-year supply agreement with independent European energy developer NatPower for over 25GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS). The initial phase will focus on five battery storage projects in Italy and the United Kingdom. The 25GWh order represents the first stage of a longer-term strategic target of 100GWh total capacity. NatPower will deploy Tesla's Megapack utility-scale storage systems across its projects. The deal is part of a broader wave of energy storage orders at the show, with a dozen companies including Tesla, Sungrow Energy, and Chinese providers collectively signing over 60GWh of storage collaboration agreements during the three-day exhibition.
