Tether Burns $2.5 Billion USDT on Ethereum on July 7, Largest Single Day Since February

According to CryptoQuant on-chain data, Tether Treasury burned $2.5 billion in USDT on Ethereum on July 7, marking the largest single-day destruction since February. The destruction surpassed the $2 billion burn on May 8 and ranks second only to the $3.5 billion destruction on February 10. Meanwhile, USDT flowing through Tron to and from Binance declined to approximately $806 million, the lowest level since December 29, 2025, dropping below the $1 billion threshold.
