According to security firms TenArmor, PeckShield, and DefiTuna, three separate DeFi exploits occurred in the past 24 hours on July 17, resulting in combined losses of approximately $2.17 million. TenArmor identified a vulnerability in FCOW (BNB Smart Chain) that led to $61,300 in losses, while DefiTuna's lending pools suffered a $580,000 attack affecting its USDC reserves. PeckShield reported that Cascade's CLS vault was exploited, with attackers stealing 1.34 million USDC.

The stolen funds from the Cascade exploit were rapidly transferred across multiple blockchains. According to Onchain Lens, the attacker moved the assets from Arbitrum to Solana, then to Ethereum via Relay Protocol, converting them to DAI in the process to obscure their trail.
