Tom Lee Says Ethereum Entering '2.0' Phase, Compares ETH to Amazon Before AWS and Nvidia Before AI Boom

According to Tom Lee, chairman of BitMine Immersion Technologies, Ethereum could become the trusted settlement layer between humans and autonomous AI agents on Thursday. Lee compared ETH's current stage to Amazon (AMZN) before AWS and Nvidia (NVDA) before the AI boom, stating Ethereum is entering an "Ethereum 2.0" phase driven by institutional adoption. He pointed to tokenization initiatives from BlackRock, JPMorgan, and other Wall Street firms as evidence that blockchain financial infrastructure is expanding. Lee said Ethereum stands to benefit from two exponential growth drivers: Wall Street's migration to blockchain-based financial rails and the rise of agentic AI requiring blockchain infrastructure for identity and machine-to-machine transactions. BitMine, the world's largest Ethereum treasury, holds approximately 5.77 million ETH.
