Trump Says U.S. Military Must Enter Iran to Retrieve 1,000 Lbs of Enriched Uranium on May 6

GateNews

According to Anadolu Agency, on May 6, former U.S. President Trump stated that American military forces must enter Iranian territory to secure approximately 1,000 pounds of enriched uranium buried in debris from a June 2024 joint U.S.-Israeli operation. Trump said, “We will have to pay a price because we have to go into Iran and take out the nuclear weapons.” Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi confirmed the material remains “under the rubble” with no immediate plans for extraction. Trump asserted the U.S. has effectively destroyed Iran’s nuclear capability and will prevent Iranian access to the material, with American forces maintaining continuous surveillance.
