According to CCTV News, U.S. President Trump stated on April 29 that the United States and Iran are conducting negotiations via telephone. Trump emphasized that Iran must make a clear commitment to completely abandon nuclear weapons, saying “unless they explicitly commit to giving up nuclear weapons entirely, there is no possibility of reaching any agreement.” Trump noted that the two sides have made some progress in talks but stressed that Iran’s concessions must meet U.S. requirements.
