Trump Signs Executive Order Expanding Sanctions on Cuba

According to CCTV News, President Trump signed an executive order expanding sanctions on Cuba today (May 1). The new sanctions target individuals and entities supporting Cuba’s security institutions or involved in corruption, as well as related agents and supporters.

The executive order also authorizes secondary sanctions against third parties conducting transactions with or providing assistance to sanctioned entities. Specific individuals and organizations to be added to the sanctions list have not yet been disclosed.
