TSMC Approves $31.28B for Advanced Capacity on May 12 as AI Demand Grows

According to Focus Taiwan, TSMC's board approved US$31.28 billion on May 12 for advanced capacity and fab construction, with an additional US$20 billion earmarked for its Arizona subsidiary, to support long-term growth amid strong demand for AI, 5G, and high-performance computing chips.
