According to Yonhap Infomax, on July 20, TSMC raised its 2026 capital expenditure guidance to $60–64 billion, up from previous forecasts, as artificial intelligence demand drives expansion. The company allocated 70–80% to advanced process technologies and 10–20% to advanced packaging and testing. TSMC reported second-quarter revenue of $40.2 billion and expects full-year revenue to grow at least 40% year-over-year. Semiconductor equipment maker ASML also announced plans to expand extreme ultraviolet (EUV) and deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography production capacity by 30% in 2027, with further increases under review for 2028, citing sustained demand from both foundries and memory manufacturers responding to AI investment cycles.
