According to Baltimore Fire Department, two lifeboats aboard the U.S. Navy supply ship Charles L. Gilliland caught fire on July 13 at approximately 11 a.m. local time while docked in the Canton Industrial Area. The fire department activated a Level 2 emergency response. No injuries were reported, and the cause remains under investigation.
