UK FCA Report Highlights AI Risks in Financial Services on Monday

According to the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), a review released on Monday found that over one-quarter of British consumers trust ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini for financial advice. However, FCA Executive Director Sheldon Mills emphasized that most consumers are unaware these AI tools are not covered by the protections that apply to regulated financial services. The review also flagged potential systemic risks from enterprise over-reliance on a small number of technology providers.
