UK Interest Rate Expectations Rise 106 Basis Points Since US-Iran Conflict, Largest Among G10

According to SEB's report, since the US-Iran conflict erupted on February 27, UK interest rate expectations have risen 106 basis points—the largest adjustment among G10 economies. In the same period, US expectations rose 78 basis points, the eurozone 69 basis points, and Norway 70 basis points. LSEG data shows the market has already priced in 48 basis points of rate hikes for 2026.
