UK NEET Youth Projected to Surge by 250,000 Within Five Years, Assessment Finds

GateNews
According to an assessment commissioned by the U.K. government and headed by former Labour Health Secretary Alan Milburn, the number of young people not in education, employment, or training (NEET) is projected to surge from approximately 1 million currently to 1.25 million within five years. The assessment found that 84% of surveyed NEET youth aspire to work or pursue training but are unable to do so, revealing what the report characterizes as a "system-wide failure" in connecting young people to the labor market.
