Uniswap DAO Proposes Recalling 12.5M UNI Tokens Valued at $42M

UNI3.1%

Uniswap DAO is considering a proposal to recall 12.5 million UNI tokens, valued at approximately $42 million, that were previously lent to the Uniswap Foundation and governance delegates in 2022 and 2023. The proposer argues that while the lent tokens initially helped stimulate governance participation, the ecosystem has since become sufficiently active. Recalling the tokens could create a healthier governance structure by better aligning voting power with economic risk.
