According to MetaversePost, Uniswap v4 unveiled Permissioned Pools on July 24, a new hook standard enabling compliant on-chain trading of regulated assets through AMMs with protocol-level compliance enforcement. The feature allows asset issuers to maintain strict control over participant eligibility through issuer-managed wallet allowlists while approved investors can trade tokenized securities, equities, and funds directly on-chain.

The launch addresses demand from the expanding tokenized asset market, projected by industry estimates to reach $11 trillion by 2030. Developed in collaboration with Superstate, Securitize, and Dowgo, Permissioned Pools represents the first generalized, open-source standard for regulated asset trading on an AMM, enabling institutional-grade compliance while preserving protocol openness.
