According to Herald Economy, major U.S. technology companies including Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Oracle raised a combined $296 billion for artificial intelligence infrastructure expansion in 2026 as of July 9. This amount exceeds five times the estimated annual free cash flow of approximately $57 billion for these four firms.

Capital expenditure by five hyperscale data center operators is projected to expand nearly four times, from $243 billion in 2024 to $945 billion by 2028, with 2026 expected to exceed $670 billion. Market analysts expect U.S. Big Tech earnings disclosures beginning late July to determine the trajectory of semiconductor stocks, with sustained AI investment guidance critical to investor sentiment.
