U.S. Central Command Denies Iranian Claims of Captured or Killed American Forces in Syria on July 17

According to U.S. Central Command on July 17, Iran's claim that its forces attacked the U.S.-led military presence in Tanf, Syria, and captured or killed American personnel is false. The command stated there were no U.S. casualties or captured service members in the region recently.

Iran had previously asserted it conducted strikes on the Tanf position and inflicted losses on American forces.
