U.S. Chip Stocks Tumble on Tuesday: Micron and SanDisk Drop Over 13%, Nasdaq Falls 2.2%

According to BlockBeats citing Bitget data, U.S. equity markets declined on Tuesday, June 24. The Nasdaq fell 2.2%, the S&P 500 dropped 1.4%, and the Dow Jones Index declined 0.09%.

Memory chip stocks experienced the sharpest selloff. Micron (MU) fell 13.18%, SanDisk (SNDK) dropped 13.64%, Western Digital (WDC) declined 8.45%, and Seagate (STX) fell 5.07%. Optical module stocks also came under pressure, with AAOI down 13.89%, Coherent (COHR) down 10.4%, Marvell Technology (MRVL) down 9.36%, and LITE dropping 7.38%. Among the Magnificent Seven tech stocks, Tesla (TSLA) fell 5.79%, Oracle (ORCL) dropped 5.66%, and Nvidia (NVDA) declined 4.13%.
