U.S. House to Vote This Week on Bill for Permanent Daylight Saving Time

According to U.S. sources, the House of Representatives will vote this week on legislation to permanently implement daylight saving time. In May, the House Energy and Commerce Committee passed the Sunshine Protection Act with a 48-1 vote, which would eliminate the biannual clock adjustments and make daylight saving time year-round. However, some Senate members have threatened to block the bill in the Senate even if it passes the House.
