U.S. Industry ETFs Fall Broadly on Friday; Semiconductors Drop 3.80%, Energy Gains 2.36%

On Friday (May 15), U.S. industry ETFs declined broadly, with the semiconductor ETF leading losses at negative 3.80%. Biotech, global aviation, and global technology ETFs fell up to 2.63%, while tech and banking sector ETFs dropped up to 1.81%. Energy was the lone bright spot, rising 2.36%.

Year-to-date, semiconductor ETFs remain up 54.48%, energy ETFs up 33.81%, and global tech ETFs up 25.79%, though global aviation ETFs are down 8.94%.
