US Senators Urge Meta to Restore Lawsuit Recruitment Ads on May 1

GateNews

According to Reuters, on May 1, US senators Marsha Blackburn and Amy Klobuchar urged Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to restore lawsuit recruitment ads that the company removed from its platforms. The ads were from law firms recruiting clients for ongoing cases alleging social media addiction and harm to youth mental health. Meta, Google, Snapchat, and TikTok face thousands of lawsuits on these claims. The senators questioned whether Meta’s removal was intended to protect its business model and said the decision could limit affected users’ access to legal information.
