U.S. Strikes Iran's Submarine Facility With Unmanned Vessels for First Time, 3 Corsair Drones Target Bandar Abbas

According to U.S. Central Command, the military struck Iranian submarine and naval vessel maintenance facilities at Bandar Abbas naval base yesterday (July 13) using unmanned surface vessels for the first time in combat operations. Three Corsair unmanned surface vessels attacked the port in response to Iran's assaults on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The command stated in an X post that this marks the first combat deployment of autonomous maritime drones by U.S. forces.
