According to the U.S. Department of Justice, a coordinated international operation led by Dubai police dismantled at least 9 cryptocurrency fraud centers and arrested 276 people last week (April 30), with participation from the FBI and China’s Ministry of Public Security. An additional person was arrested by Thai Royal Police. Six individuals have been charged with federal fraud and money laundering, facing up to 20 years in prison and substantial fines if convicted.
