Visa Supports OpenUSD Payment Infrastructure, Launches Stablecoin Platform on July 28

According to Visa CEO Ryan McInerney on July 28 during the company's Q3 2026 earnings call, Visa announced support for OpenUSD stablecoin payment infrastructure and unveiled the Visa Stablecoin Platform. The platform enables financial institutions and partners to issue and manage stablecoins, facilitating transactions through Visa's network. It features on-chain wallet capabilities and is designed to support fund movement between fiat currencies and stablecoins, starting with OpenUSD. Visa will also integrate the platform with Pismo's tokenized deposits infrastructure and plans to support third-party tokenized deposit infrastructure in the future.
