According to CNBC, on July 16, Warren Buffett called Kevin Warsh the "right choice" to serve as Federal Reserve chair. Buffett stated that Warsh "will do his best" to achieve the Fed's mandate of maintaining 2% inflation and maximum employment. "He is not likely to be perfect, just as I know I am not perfect," Buffett said, adding that Warsh is "devoted to the country" and that while Fed officials' decisions are not always perfect, they are sometimes "extremely difficult."
