According to Accuweather, Washington D.C. is forecast to reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) on Tuesday, approximately 25 degrees above the historical average for this time of year. The U.S. National Weather Service projects that the Mid-Atlantic to Northeast region (covering the PJM power grid operator’s core service area) will see at least 90 single-day high temperature records tied, broken, or challenged by Wednesday.
