According to ChainCatcher, citing Wells Fargo’s Q1 2026 13F filing, the bank increased holdings in Ethereum spot ETFs during the first quarter. BlackRock’s ETHA holdings rose 63.5% to approximately 1.1 million shares, while Bitwise’s ETHW holdings increased 37% to about 257,000 shares. Total ETH ETF holdings reached approximately $21.5 million by quarter-end.
Meanwhile, Wells Fargo’s Bitcoin ETF positions showed mixed movement: IBIT holdings declined slightly, while BITB and Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust positions increased 24% and 41% respectively. IBIT remains the bank’s largest crypto ETF holding at approximately $250 million. The bank also significantly expanded its Strategy stock position, increasing holdings by 125% to 726,000 shares.
