World Network Raises $52.5 Million to Expand Identity Verification Technology

According to CoinDesk, on Friday, The World Foundation, the nonprofit steward of World Network, raised $52.5 million in fresh funding through a locked token sale. The round was led by Pantera Capital and included participation from Bain Capital Crypto and Eightco Holdings. World Network said the proceeds will be used to expand its identity verification technology across enterprises and AI agents, positioning the technology as infrastructure for proving users are human rather than automated systems. To date, more than 39 million people have joined World Network, with over 18 million individuals verified using the project's custom Orb hardware devices.
