XRP Ledger Hits 1 Million AI Agent Transactions on July 21

According to J. Ayo Akinyele, RippleX's head of engineering, the XRP Ledger crossed 1 million agentic transactions on July 21. The milestone reflects growing adoption of AI agents capable of autonomously initiating blockchain transactions and paying for digital services without manual approval.

Ripple's XRPL AI Starter Kit enables developers to connect AI agents to wallets and payment functions, supporting both XRP and RLUSD stablecoin. The toolkit integrates with x402, an open protocol for machine-to-machine payments, allowing agents to receive pricing from online services, submit onchain payments, and complete transactions in three to five seconds without opening billing accounts or entering card details.
