According to BlockBeats, XRPL developer Wietse Wind issued a security warning on May 25, alerting the XRP community to a rise in scams targeting Xaman Wallet users. Fraudsters are promoting fake desktop wallet applications and fabricated airdrop campaigns to trick users into connecting their wallets or downloading malicious software, which could result in asset theft.

Wind advised users not to connect wallets to suspicious websites and to avoid downloading any unofficial applications to protect their funds.
