Zano Hard Fork 6 Activates Aug. 25-27 at Block 3,833,000 With Gateway Addresses

According to Zano, Hard Fork 6 (HF6) will activate between Aug. 25 and 27, 2026, at block 3,833,000. The upgrade introduces Gateway Addresses, a new account type designed for exchanges, decentralized exchanges, bridges, and infrastructure providers. Unlike standard Zano addresses, Gateway Addresses provide directly tracked balances and faster syncing, enabling easier integration with native ZANO and Confidential Assets while maintaining privacy for regular users.

Zano is in active discussions with Thorchain and other DEX platforms regarding post-HF6 integrations. The updated wallet is already available. Operators including wallets, miners, pools, and node operators have approximately eight weeks to upgrade before the fork activates.
