Zhipu AI Plans Shanghai STAR Market Listing, Issues 9.1-38.8M A Shares on June 2

According to Reuters, on June 2, Zhipu AI announced plans to apply for listing on Shanghai's STAR Market by issuing 9.1 to 38.8 million A shares, with no fundraising target disclosed. The company raised HK$4.35 billion (US$555 million) in its Hong Kong IPO in January, achieving a market value of approximately US$83 billion as of June 2. Its 2024 prospectus showed revenue of 312.4 million yuan (US$46.2 million) and a net loss of about 3 billion yuan (US$444 million). The STAR Market, Shanghai Stock Exchange's science and technology board, reviews applications through a registration-based system and permits listings by unprofitable and overseas-listed companies.
