Once Bitcoin layer assets become more complex,

the first problem ordinary users encounter is:
Who is the actual balance based on?
I've come across this issue on Alkanes these days.
For the same address,
the balances and statuses seen on Subfrost, ESPO, UniSat, and idclub
may all be different.
Some look like they have been spent.
Some look like they have been reverted.
Some balances update very late.
I broke down a transaction on Alkanes
by txid / block / outpoint,
and realized that fundamentally, it's the same set of UTXOs
interpreted differently by different systems.
The frontend balance is just a view.
To truly reconcile,
you still need to go back to the outpoint on the chain.
This is very important.
If Bitcoin layer assets are to carry more assets,
such as AMM, Bonds, LP, vaults, marketplaces,
the infrastructure must clarify the asset states.
At minimum, ordinary users should be able to answer three questions:
What do I actually own?
What will this signature spend?
Where do assets go if it fails?
So I no longer consider any frontend as the "most accurate."
My temporary troubleshooting order is:
1. First check txid / block / outpoint to confirm how UTXOs are flowing
2. Then look at the Subfrost App to understand how the current main interface interprets things
3. Cross-verify with ESPO’s explorer / API
4. Mainly check which inputs the UniSat wallet side will spend
5. Use idclub / marketplace only as references for orders and transaction statuses
When several results conflict, don’t rush to conclusions.
Go back to the outpoint, break down each step of asset movement.
Advice for individual participants:
Before large transactions,
first check if the input UTXOs have
Alkanes / Runes / Inscriptions.
For swaps, LP, Bonds, pending orders,
try to isolate by address.
If frontend balances don’t match,
review step-by-step using txid and outpoint.
Pay special attention to inputs before signing.
Use a wallet that can recognize asset UTXOs to pay gas.
I still believe in the Bitcoin layer assets path.
The next phase truly needed is
an asset state layer that ordinary users can understand.
