Publicly traded blockchain lender Figure confirmed a customer data breach following a social engineering attack on an employee. The hacker group ShinyHunters claimed to have stolen and published approximately 2.5GB of data, potentially including customer names, addresses, dates of birth, and phone numbers. Figure stated it has blocked access, initiated a forensic investigation, and is offering free credit monitoring. The incident may be connected to firms utilizing Okta SSO.
