Gate Research VIP Weekly Report: Crypto Market Pulls Back Amid Volatility, BSC Continues to See Large Net Outflows (May 11–May 17, 2026)

BTC price action entered a consolidation and bottoming phase after pulling back from recent highs. BTC faced resistance near $81,900 before falling below the key $80,000 psychological level. ETH underperformed Bitcoin over the past week. Assets such as KITE, INJ, and H led the gains, rising 15.64%, 10.56%, and 9.81%, respectively. BSC recorded large net outflows for the second consecutive week, with net outflows reaching approximately $3.882 billion last week, while Ethereum saw net outflows of about $569 million. Mantle became the largest recipient of cross-chain capital inflows. Meanwhile, the cross-chain infrastructure sector is also being re-evaluated. Although LayerZero still dominates the overall cross-chain traffic, institutions and high-value assets are increasingly migrating toward Chainlink CCIP, which places greater emphasis on security and compliance.
